For the first time in half a century, a traditional wooden dinghy longboat has been built in Tristan da Cunha thanks to Atlantic Guardians, an RSPB-supported project.

The boat has been created by the elder members of the island community to celebrate their unique marine heritage and to pass on knowledge and skills to the younger generation.
