Nature never sleeps

Across the country we’re running out-of-hours events on RSPB nature reserves to showcase the beauty of the natural world after the sun goes down. Take part in moth evenings, bat walks, Nightjar jaunts and twilight safaris to witness spectacles that not many get to experience. Take a look at what’s on offer.

Robin Hood Festival 2026

Walk, dance and laugh among the mighty ancient oaks of RSPB Sherwood Forest as they celebrate the 40th year of the Robin Hood Festival! Head to the origin site of the legendary outlaw for jousting shows, comedy, storytelling and music, and, of course, plenty of wildlife. Taking place across the weekends of 1–2, 8–9 and 29–31 August, this festival is packed with fun and adventure for all.
