This one-hour online session will give you all the tips you need to identify spring arrivals. We’ll also discuss the importance of a successful breeding season.

Whatever you choose to do, enjoy RSPB nature reserve access for free in National Lottery Open Week. Running from 15–23 March 2025, simply show a National Lottery scratchcard or ticket to get free entry or car parking at selected reserves. There’s no better excuse to get the whole family outside for a dose of fresh air.

Winter highlights at this coastal site in Dorset include Firecrests, Goldcrests, Dartford Warblers and a flock of Spoonbills. Wrap up warm to explore the exposed area of the open moorlands, or head into the ancient oak woodland. Arne has a range of habitats to enjoy. Raptors on the wing include Kestrels and Sparrowhawks, and you might get lucky and see a Marsh Harrier, or even a White-tailed Eagle soaring overhead!
